PMAC Thanksgiving luncheon for Vets, Seniors Nov. 19

The annual Thanksgiving luncheon and gift-giving sponsored by the Philippine Medical Association and its auxiliary in Chicago for veterans and seniors will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Rizal Center, 1332 W. Irving Park in Chicago.
A mass will be celebrated at 10 am and luncheon will follow.

Free film screening Oct. 30 of
“Hinabing PakPak ng ating mga anak ”

The Consulate General of the Philippines, in partnership with the Asian Cultural Exchange (ACE) Club of DePaul University, and on the occasion of the Filipino American History Month (FAHM) celebration, would like to inform the community that a film entitled “Hinabing Pakpak ng Ating Mga Anak” by Notre Dame Professor of Theater and Film, Dr. Anton Juan, will be shown at the Student Center Hall 120-B, DePaul University Lincoln Park Campus located at 2250 N. Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614 on Sun., Oct. 30 at 3:00 PM. Admission is FREE.

The full-length movie narrates the stories of poverty and of dearth of opportunity as children living in the Philippines fight for true survival

Global Pinoy Singing Idol USA Finals, Nov. 20

Answering the Cry of the Poor (ANCOP) and ABS-CBN-DZMM presents the search for the 2016 Global Pinoy Singing Idol (GPSI).

The USA Finals will be held on Nov. 20 from 12-5 pm at the Carson Civic Center, Carson, California, 801 East Carson St., Carson, CA 90745. Special Guests Jaya Ramsey and Kaye Abad will be at the event. including past GPSI winners including Leslie Ann Picazo (2012 ), Jona Peralta (2013), Alesja Morales (2014) and Shane Ericks, (2015) World Caravan Pinoy Singing Idol Champion).
