Elizabeth S. Ocampo passed away Sept. 29. She was 59. She is survived by her husband Joselito; was the mother of Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jerome (Katherine), Elizejoy; grandmother of Alyssa Mae, Kayla Rose and Hailey Grace; sibling of Carmelita, Frederick, Ferdinand and Evelyn.
Wake was held at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral October 3 from the funeral home proceeding to St. Isaac Jogues Church. Interment at Maryhill Cemetery.
Carmelita Palma, 71, of Chicago, passed away Oct. 11. She was the mother of Ashley, Jason (Kelly) and Trisha Palma and Jennifer (Ermin) Skrebo; grandmother of Benett, Zoe and Hailey Palma and Elden Skrebo; sibling of Adoracian Purganan, Aurora Morales, Gloria De Guzman and Virginia, Crensencio, Jr., Reynaldo and Efren Agbulos. Gregoria Embudo Yanong, M.D., 78, a resident of Chicago, passed away Oct. 16. She was a native of Argao, Cebu. She is survived by her husband Procopio Unabia Yanong, M.D.; survived by her children Rosemarie Y., MSW (Thomas) Mangan, Roselynn Yanong-Espina, M.D. (Roel Joshua Espina M.D.) and Roy Patrick E. Yanong, V.M.D.; grandmother of Cynthia Rose (Cruz) Dyson, Catherine Gregoria Y., Patrick Procopio Y., Laura Albine Y., Rebecca Margaret Y., Thomas Riley II, Joseph Christopher Y., Sarah Trudy Y., James Ryan Y. and Daniel Roy Y. Mangan and Guadalupe Gregoria Y. Espina; sibling of Panfila Embudo (the late Cesar) Cañizares, Claudia Embudo (Apolonio) Gimeno and the late Crescencia Embudo (the late Jose) Davide; beloved sister-in-law. Wake was held at Smith Corcoran Funeral Home.
Regino P. “Reggie” Longalong died Oct. 14 of cancer after a brief illness. A wake was held Oct. 18 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St., Des Plaines 60016. His fellow church members affiliated with “Dating Daan” held a prayer vigil in his honor.
Reggie’s remains were flown Oct. 23 to his hometown in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija for funeral services and burial. He is survived by his wife Margaret and children, Bobby, Prince and John Redz and his parents, Julio and Lourdes Longalong.
His employer and aunt Sally Hunter took charge of arrangement. Reggie was office manager at Dependable Home Health Care in Lincolnwood. He was eulogized by his many friends here as an honest, hardworking and a spiritual person.
Bernardo I. Tabang, 87, passed away Oct. 5. He was the husband of Noemi; father of Nimrod (Susan), Bernardine (Guillermo), Emmanuel (Margie), Ralston (Judy), Julius (Lilliana) and the late Eula Mae. Wake held at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home in Chicago. Entombment Rosehill Cemetery.
