Jose B. Rivamonte passed away Oct. 1 in Morton Grove, IL. He was a native of Marinduque. He is survived by his wife Tita; survived by childrenJoseph and Joel (Helen); and survived by his siblings Isiah, Vito, Rita and Pilar.
He graduated from the Far Eastern University (FEU) with a bachelors degree in Commerce. He obtained a Master's degree in Accounting, and taught accounting in the undergraduate and graduate levels at Roosevelt University in Chicago . His accounting background prepared him for leadership positions in the Accounting/Finance Department of Chicago Association for Retarded Citizens (CARC), where he worked most of his life until his retirement.
A wake was held at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center in Chicago. Burial was at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles..
James Grant of Morton Grove, Illinois died Oct. 22 at the Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. He is survived by his wife, the former Lydia Gorospe and his two children from previous marriage, Deborah and Susan. Funeral was private. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Nov. 8 at 3 pm at Elston Avenue United Methodist Church in Chicago. James was a member of the plumbers' Union and was active with the Free Mason Fraternity, Integrity Lodge No. 97.
Nerissa Almeda Reyes paassed away Sept. 23 at the age of 51. She was the mother of Raymond (Christina) Almeda and Jesse Rekoske. She was the grandmother of Athena and Raymond Victor Almeda Jr. ; Sibling of Gilbert (Cecille) Almeda and aunt of Danica and Michael Almeda.
Ariston C. Daliva died on Oct. 5. He was 61. He is survived by his wife Amelita and his only child Aris Daliva. He was the sibling of Santiago (Mila), Gerardo (Rosea), Edwin (Eva), Felipe (Conrada), Marina (Manuel) Alimagno, Marylon( Arthur) Billanes, Marites(Albert) Albances, and all the late Marina Dinzey, Lon Alcantara, Robert Daliva and Adison Daliva. Arison's wake was held at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Niles. Private cremation to follow.
