Florante A. Llanes, 79

Florante A. Llanes of Dolton, IL passed away on April 13. He was a native of Kawayan, Ilocos Norte. He obtained his Law degree from the University of the East in Manila. Florante migrated to Chicago in 1975.
He is survived by his wife Alberta; survived by his children Roehl (Marilou), Maria (Julio Villalta), Ronald (Hilda), and Ray (Melanie) Llanes; was the grandfather of Jazmine, Alexanna, Grace, Jacob, and Brendan; and sibling of the late Primitiva (Julian).
He was a Member of the Order of the Knights of Rizal and an active member of Filipino American Council of Greater Chicago for many years. He was the chairman of the FACC commission on elections at the time of his passing. Former member of the Lions Club.
Visitation was at Knollcrest Funeral Home in Lombard. Funeral mass was held at Christ The King Catholic Church. Entombment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Macelino O. Cabral, born in Batangas, passed away March 21 at the age of 84. Husband of Maria G., nee Abejuro; father of Nerissa (Benjamin) Fernandez and Rachel (Kelly) Priess; grandfather of Reed Cabral, Mason Fernandez, Deklin Priess, Milana Fernandez and Keira Preiss. His wake was at Drake & Son Funeral Home in Chicago. Prayers from the funeral home to Queen of Angels Church in Chicago for Mass. Interment at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery.

Fortunato B. Deang, 67, passed away March 20. He is survived by his wife Maria Preciosisima (Loyda) Rimando-Deang; was the father of Benjamin Deang and Benedict (Jenny) Deang; grandfather of Annabelle and Julianna; brother of Ophelia Deang, Zenaida Lozada, Federico (Evangeline) Deang and the late Armando (Lorna) Deang. Visitation was at Drake and Son Funeral Home in Chicago. Funeral mass was at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment at Rosehill Cemetery.

He was the son of Herson Arriaga and Issed (Ian De-LaPaz) Perez; brother of Tracy, Maximus, Lukas, Christian and Cheyenne; and grandson of Rodolfo and Irene Perez, and Petrona Lopez.
