Dr. Crisostomo is new FACC President;
Fil-Am Friendship dinner dance, July 3
Dr. Rufino Crisostomo assumes the presidency of the Filipino American Council of Chicago after the elections held at Rizal Center on June 21. Thelma Bascos who took over the president of the group after Rene Bella resigned last year was elected vice president. Twenty of the 35 available members of the board of directors were also elected with the remaining vacancies to be appointed by Dr. Crisostomo.
"My first priority is to increase the membership and generate revenue for maintenance and renovation of the FACC headquarters located at 1332 W. Irving Park. Dr. Crisostomo is a physician employed by Chicago dept. of health and is an advocate of senior citizens rights.

"Scent of Home" plays in Chicago, June 27-29
"Scent of Home," the three plays that Larry Leopoldo adapted from the short stories of Bienvenido Santos about his stay here in the U.S., will be staged for the final time on June 27, 28 and 30, 7:30 on Friday and Saturday and 4 pm on Sunday at @Moooh Dulce, 2602 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago.
