Forum on "Rizal and the Proposed Federalism in the Philippines," Feb. 16

The Consulate General of the Philippines, in partnership with the Knights of Rizal (KOR) Central USA Chicago Area and Ladies for Rizal, invites the community to join them in their "Ika-22 na Pagkikita sa Konsulado" on Thurs., Feb. 16, 5:30 PM, at the Consulate’s Kalayaan Hall located at 122 S. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1600, Chicago, IL 60603.

There will be a forum about "Rizal and the Proposed Federalism in the Philippines" on the occasion of the 145th Commemoration of the Martyrdom of GOMBURZA (secular priests Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Jamora) and their role in the flowering of the Philippines' fight for Independence. The Philippine Independence Week Committee (PIWC) kick-off party was held at the Avalon Jan. 14 led by Chairman Lourdes Livas (12th fr. L). Their next meeting will be held at the Marriot in Chicago on Feb. 12

 

KNIGHTS OF RIZAL (KOR) Central USA will co-sponsor the discussion on the proposed Federal form of government in the Philippines during the 22nd "Pagkikita sa Konsulado," on Thur., Feb. 16 at 5:30 pm, 122 S. Michigan Ave. Suite 1600, Chicago. "The Philippines After a Hundred Years Through Federalism," is the theme of the forthcoming 21st International Assembly in Davao City, Feb. 23-24 with speakers led by President Rodrigo Duterte and KOR Supreme Commander Justice Reynato R. Puno.

CFC-ANCOP Valentine's fundraiser dinner, Feb. 17



CFC-ANCOP Illinois invites the community to celebrate Valentine's day at Holiday Inn in Rolling Meadows, Feb. 17, 6 pm, with a dinner, dance, and entertainment. Enjoy the night with friends who share the same Faith, at the same giving hope and Charity to the poor children in the Philippines. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Child Sponsorship Program of CFC-ANCOP illinois.
