Ambassadors, Consul General & Tourism Directors Tour to PHL, July 28-Aug. 2

The 9th Ambassadors, Consuls General & Tourism Directors Tour (ACGTDT) to the Philippines will be held on July 28-Aug. 2. The basic tour will be from July 28-31 but an optional out-of-town tour will be on July 31- Aug. 2 The tour includes three to five nights at a hotel in Manila with daily buffet breakfast, lunch at Malacanan Palace, three dinners with special entertainment, out- of-town day tour and cultural, social, business seminars and immersion activities at numerous reasonably-priced post tour options.
The ACGTDT is an annual project of the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the United States and Canada; it aims to provide the participants with a unique opportunity to visit the Philippines and experience its rich culture and heritage.

Piyesta Pinoy in Chicago, March 23

Back for the third year in a row, Piyesta Pinoy in Chicago invites participants for its cultural event on Sunday, March 23 from 12 pm - 3pm at Navy Pier's Crystal Gardens. Typhoon Haiyan Relief Benefit, Feb. 8

A typhoon Haiyan Relief Benefit "Embrace the Islands" will be held on Sat., Feb. 8 at the Field Museum in Chicago. The benefit is a community partnership fundraiser sponsored by the Filipino American Network (FAN), The Field Museum of Chicago and the 10,000 Philippine Artifact Co-Curation Team, Ten Thousand Kwentos The Field Museum of Chicago is located at West Lobby, James Simpson Theater, 1400 South Lake Shore Drive in Downtown Chicago.

The net proceeds will benefit Direct Relief (DR), an immediate response and medical care non-governmental organization (NGO), who had responders, medicines and supplies on the ground within four days after the devastation.

There will be a private artifact viewing, beverage service, silent auction and raffle, passed Philippine cuisine and cultural and vocal performances. The ticket price is $100. Parking is available at Soldiers Field Underground Garage. Guests may enter at West side entrance.
