In my years in America, I have seen the olders requested to come, as "yayas" for our younger children, Then when older, they get consigned to nursing homes. Many of our elders come without income and get their Supplemental Security Incomes. I dissuaded my oldest brother to come to America, at his ripe old age, i told him his children cannot take care of him, and he will most probably end up in a nursing home.
